Once the kernel feature is in place the device special file (in “/dev”) should show up, but you may still need software to work with it. It isn’t hard, but some details sometimes frustrate new users. If the #4 post shows you have not enabled the kernel feature, then we can explain building this. The first requirement is that the kernel feature supporting this must be enabled (possibly requiring a kernel module being added, or perhaps an updated kernel if module format is not supported).
